Sign Snap ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Sign Snap, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

The short version: Sign Snap is designed with privacy at its core. Your documents and signatures never leave your device. We do not have accounts, cloud storage, or any way to access your files. The only data processed by third parties relates to subscriptions (RevenueCat) and ads on the free tier (Google AdMob).

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Sign Snap does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

We do not operate any user account system. There is no sign up, login, or profile of any kind.

2. Camera Access

Sign Snap requests access to your device's camera for two specific purposes:

Camera data is processed entirely on your device. No images or camera data are transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party. You can revoke camera access at any time in your device's Settings without affecting other app functionality (you can still import PDFs and create typed or drawn signatures).

3. Local Data Storage

All documents, scanned images, signatures, and signed PDFs are stored locally on your device only. This data is not backed up to our servers because we do not operate any servers for user data storage. Your files may be included in your device's iCloud or iTunes backups based on your own device settings, which is managed entirely by Apple.

4. Subscription Processing (RevenueCat)

We use RevenueCat to manage in app subscriptions for Sign Snap Premium. When you subscribe, RevenueCat processes the transaction and may collect:

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free tier of Sign Snap displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain data to serve and personalize ads, including:

If you decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, AdMob will serve contextual (non personalized) ads and will not access your IDFA. Premium subscribers do not see any ads, and no ad related data is collected for Premium users.

6. App Tracking Transparency

Sign Snap complies with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. Before any tracking occurs for advertising purposes, you will be shown a system prompt asking for your permission. You can change this choice at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking.

If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," the app will not access your IDFA, and advertising will be limited to contextual, non personalized ads.

7. Analytics

Sign Snap does not use any third party analytics SDKs. We do not track screen views, user flows, tap events, or session data. The only usage data we may see is aggregated, anonymized information provided by Apple through App Store Connect (such as total downloads and crash reports), which does not identify individual users.

8. Children's Privacy

Sign Snap is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all document and signature data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over retention and deletion. You can delete any document or signature from within the app at any time. Uninstalling Sign Snap removes all locally stored app data from your device.

Subscription transaction data processed by RevenueCat and Apple is retained according to their respective policies and applicable financial regulations.

10. Third Party Links

Sign Snap may contain links to third party websites or services (such as this privacy policy page). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third party service you interact with.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Sign Snap after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
