This End User License Agreement ("Agreement" or "EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Sign Snap ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Sign Snap mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. License Grant
We grant you a limited, non exclusive, non transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on any Apple branded device that you own or control, subject to the terms of this Agreement and Apple's Usage Rules set forth in the App Store Terms of Service.
2. Description of Service
Sign Snap is a mobile document signing application that enables you to scan physical documents, import PDF files, create electronic signatures, place signatures on documents, and export signed PDFs. The App operates entirely on your device and does not transmit your documents or signatures to any external server.
Important: Sign Snap provides a tool for applying electronic signatures to documents. It does not provide legally binding digital signatures, notarization, identity verification, or legal certification of any kind. The legal validity of any document signed using Sign Snap depends on the laws of your jurisdiction and the requirements of the parties involved. Consult a legal professional if you need advice regarding the enforceability of electronically signed documents.
3. Free Tier and Premium Subscription
Free Tier: The App provides up to 2 document signings at no charge. The free tier is supported by advertisements served through Google AdMob.
Sign Snap Premium: Premium is an auto renewing subscription that unlocks unlimited document signings and removes all advertisements. Premium is available in weekly, monthly, and yearly billing cycles.
Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at the time of purchase confirmation. Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.
Managing Your Subscription: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions) or through the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle after the change, and you will be notified in advance in accordance with Apple's policies.
4. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except as permitted by applicable law
- Attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Use the App to forge, falsify, or fraudulently alter documents
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any usage limitations, subscription requirements, or security features
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, features, graphics, and all related intellectual property, is owned by us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This Agreement does not grant you any rights to our trademarks, service marks, or trade names.
You retain full ownership of all documents, images, and signatures you create or import using the App. We claim no rights to your content.
6. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- The content of any documents you scan, import, sign, or share using the App
- Ensuring that your use of electronic signatures complies with applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
- Maintaining backups of your documents and signatures, as all data is stored locally on your device
- Any consequences arising from sharing signed documents with third parties
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy of document scanning, the quality of exported PDFs, or the legal enforceability of any electronic signature applied through the App.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE OF ACTION OR THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sign Snap and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App, your violation of this Agreement, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
10. Third Party Services
The App integrates with third party services for specific functions:
- Apple (App Store): Manages app distribution, payments, and subscriptions
- RevenueCat: Processes subscription management and purchase validation
- Google AdMob: Serves advertisements in the free tier
Your use of these third party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third party service providers.
11. Termination
This Agreement is effective until terminated. We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates this Agreement or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
You may terminate this Agreement at any time by deleting the App from your device. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under this Agreement will cease immediately.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado.
13. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Sign Snap regarding the App and supersedes all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
15. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify this Agreement at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
16. Apple Specific Terms
This Agreement is between you and Sign Snap only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App. In the event of the App's failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and use of the App, including product liability claims, any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation. Apple is a third party beneficiary of this Agreement and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce this Agreement against you.
